ABSTRACT
The title of this essay comes from a conversation between two daytime soap opera viewers, my mother and grandmother. Both watched NBC’s Days Of Our Lives. My grandmother hadn’t seen the show in some time:
My mother informed her: “They killed off Marlena, but she is on another show now.”
