ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the dynamics of group behaviour in group enterprises. The chapter begins by describing the various types of groups that exist, followed by reasoning for why people join groups. The five-stage group-development model (forming, storming, norming, performing, adjourning) is then discussed. Next, there is an examination of the roles, norms and status of groups and group members. The chapter ends with a conversation about various aspects of group decision-making.
