ABSTRACT
This chapter extends the discussion on groups by focusing on team dynamics. Teams differ from groups as they are designed to achieve a goal. This chapter distinguishes the various types of teams. The composition of teams is detailed in the chapter before discussion of how to create effective teams in sport enterprises. The chapter then explores team-management processes and factors for developing team effectiveness. The chapter ends with an examination of the contextual factors surrounding team effectiveness.
