ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the many aspects of leadership. It begins with a brief comparison of managers and leaders. The chapter then details traditional leadership styles. This is followed by a discussion of substitutes for and neutralizers of leadership. The chapter concludes with a discussion of unique aspects of leadership in sport, and provides examples of the leadership styles in the commercial sport environment.
