ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the concepts safety and risk in the workplace. The chapter begins by introducing the concepts of safety and risk in sport. It then identifies three broad areas of responsibility that sport enterprises need to address to manage safety and risk in an increasingly complex sporting world. The chapter will conclude by identifying how to create a safe and risk-conscious sport environment and workplace.
