ABSTRACT

The relationship between the complex skills and tasks of curriculum co-ordinators and increasing levels of accountability in delivering quality and standards in the curriculum of the primary school make the use of help from beyond the school a crucial component of curriculum change and development, integrating the ‘how’ and the ‘what’. In this chapter we examine how co-ordinators can use external help to aid them in their roles within the school using examples drawn from actual work undertaken in one LEA.
