ABSTRACT

The practice theory contained in this book is a practical methodology that has been found to be effective in achieving the aims of participatory video work with groups. This does not mean that there is only one correct way of working. Nonetheless the techniques are suggested because they have proved to be of value during face-toface work, and are not just the result of abstract theorizing. The working practice that follows has shown itself useful with a wide variety of groups, in many diverse situations.
