ABSTRACT
I have been interested in design and technology throughout my teaching career but still do not feel confident about teaching it. What I have learned about the subject has been collected on INSET courses and from teachers with more specialist knowledge than I have. However, I now feel that the best way to proceed towards the development of my teaching is to embark upon a topic and learn with the children. Only in this way do I feel the children will get the opportunity to broaden their experiences and increase their technological capability.
