ABSTRACT

Quality of Life (QoL) is a generic term encompassing an individual!s feelings of satisfaction with a complex amalgam of areas of functioning. It is broadly accepted that QoL needs to address (at a minimum) satisfaction with physical, cognitive, emotional, social and economic functioning (WHO 1980; Hornquist 1982; Wenger et al. 1984, Spitzer 1987; Ware 1987; Fallowfield 1990).
