INTRODUCTION

This book has been written as a companion to Primary School People: Getting to Know Your Colleagues, Routledge, 1995. That volume explored some of the key roles of the various adults who work in schools with class teachers, but are not necessarily in partnership with them. This one approaches the same situation from another angle: significant scenarios in which partnership work appears in schools and the principles that support it.
