ABSTRACT
In this chapter we, Kristi (an Asian American woman) and Martha (a White woman), discuss a conflict involving race, gender and power that had the potential to ruin any possibility of creating a cross-race alliance and institutional change. Rather than taking “the easy way out,” we decided to fight to become allies. This is our story.
