ABSTRACT

A variety of scholars have delineated gaps that exist in the field of global leadership (Beechler and Javidan 2007; Khilji et al. 2010; Morrison 2000; Osland et al. 2006), which usually fall into one of the following categories:

1 Characteristics of global leadership: distinguishing between the roles and behaviors of global managers and global leaders, definitively answering the question of whether and how global leaders differ from domestic leaders, developing models that integrate the constructs of global mindset and global leadership, identifying the cognitive processes related to global leadership.
