ABSTRACT
Your school is part of the local community. You will naturally be part of community events, particularly if you are in a village or suburb where the school is central to local affairs. Your local community and environment is also a resource for children’s learning, probably the most important resource you have after your teachers, since it is the source of first-hand experience for all the children. A good deal of work should start in the local area and every possibility it offers should be exploited.
