ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at systems in Germany and France, which are of direct relevance to the system of APL in Britain. Furthermore, there will be an appraisal of the benefits of partnerships between employers/TECs and colleges of FE for the delivery of training and assessment to bilingual learners and others.
