ABSTRACT

According to French, personnel management is the recruitment, selection, development, utilisation of, and accommodation to, human resources by organisations. The human resources of an organisation consist of all individuals, regardless of their role, who are engaged in any of the organisation’s activities. An organisation may be a manufacturing firm, an insurance company, a government agency, a hospital, a university, a social club, a ski resort, a public school system, or a church. It may be small or large, simple or complex (1970, p. 3).
