ABSTRACT
Environmental responsibility and sustainability require the cooperation and commitment of corporations, governments, and organizations that span the world. This chapter will describe the efforts of major international organizations to promote corporate environmental sustainability. The international organizations include the United Nations (UN) and four of its international affiliates, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the United Nations University (UNU), the United Nations Global Compact, and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
