ABSTRACT
In this final chapter, we discuss ways to foster your ref lection on your teaching, as well as provide you with resources to enhance your professional development as a teacher.
Your process of professional ref lection begins before you even enter the classroom. A quality teacher preparation program should foster your selfcritical thinking about becoming a teacher. Some of the ref lection activities we describe may be, or may have been, a part of your methods courses or program. You may also be required to develop portfolio materials to meet your program and state certification requirements as well as for use in seeking employment.
