ABSTRACT
Experience suggests that the consultation process takes place over three to four sessions on a particular case, although difficult cases will require more meetings. The final session will occur when there has been time for the consultee to implement changes with the client and sufficient time has passed to evaluate the impact of those changes. The primary outcome we are looking for is an improvement in the working relationship with the client. Such improvement suggests that the client is functioning more effectively in school.
