Language and Thinking

First I should like to repeat our definitions of the terms language and thinking. We use language to refer to the processes in the brain which regulate language behaviour, and thinking to denote the processes which regulate non-verbal behaviour. So to dis­ cuss the relations between language and thinking is to discuss the relation between processes in the child’s brain.
