ABSTRACT

Much of your success in the classroom will depend on your interaction with students. The instructors who get the most out of their students always treat their students with respect. Moreover, my experience has been that the single biggest predictor of good course evaluations is how the instructors treat the students. Even when dealing with poor and underperforming students, the best teachers always find a way to communicate respect to the students. Much of this has to do with not only what instructors say but also how they say it.
