ABSTRACT

Many education textbooks talk about organising the classroom, thinking about the placing of resources and pupils. There is a significant difference in considering the classroom environment from a behavioural viewpoint; we begin to see the room from the pupils’ point of view. We will not be able to control all the physical aspects of the classroom but we can make the best of the influence we can exert. As with other means of communication if we consciously decide on

the messages we wish to give, we can ensure that the message is consistent through as many routes as possible. This will make the message more powerful and effective.
