ABSTRACT
It makes me nervous, living on my own and knowing if you go outside you’re not safe. And even in your own home you’re not safe. If I have to walk home and it’s dark—I’m looking everywhere. Even to go round and shut the entry door, I look in and see if anybody has climbed in—the bloke could be hitched on the top [of the wall]. People will say ‘She watches too much telly’. But I know what these people are like. Men are out there and they do do these things.
