ABSTRACT
In this book, we have considered the practical issues that schools should deal with in communicating effectively. But we believe that schools have a duty to communicate effectively with the public. We have seen how the predominant culture within education has changed over the past ®fteen years or so, and how schools are ± rightly in our view ± less isolated from, and more accountable to, their communities.
