ABSTRACT

The instillation of values and norms and the fostering of citizenship have been the topics at the top of the political and social agendas of many countries in the last years. In addition to the formative task of the family, it is also expected that schools contribute to the development of norms, values, and citizenship (Bottery, 1990; Goodlad et al., 1990; Klaassen 1996a).
