ABSTRACT
This revised edition of Out and About seeks to encourage positive attitudes to educational experiences and opportunities outside the confines of the school buildings. Schools are increasingly recognizing the importance of providing learning experiences and opportunities out of school within the context of a broad curriculum. Positive attitudes to safety and to the clarification of curricular aims and objectives should feature prominently in the minds of readers of this book. Although the book is primarily intended for teachers, we believe there is much of value in it for advisers, parents, governing bodies, and all those involved in youth and community service.
