ABSTRACT

Planning a visit overseas is inevitably more complex and timeconsuming than a visit within the UK. But for the staff and young people involved, some of whom, even in these days of package tours, may be travelling abroad for the first time, the educational rewards can be very great. And, for teachers contemplating such a visit for the first time, there is expert help available from organizations such as the Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges, and the School Journey Association (now amalgamated with London and Educational Travel Ltd).
