You past I think an ill-founded censure on Wordsworth’s pamphlett when you said it was not a practical work. I can conceive of nothing of equal practical importance to the philosophy which pervades it, that reliance may be placed on the moral nature of man, and that where there is no principle to rely upon, there can be nothing else, but that is as treacherous as a foundation of sand.
