ABSTRACT
Codes of ethics and of practice across all sectors have proliferated in recent years. This increase raises three questions:
1. Why has there been such a rapid increase? 2. Has the increase improved ethical standards? 3. Do the Codes provide protection for the profession from misuse of their products?
