ABSTRACT

Rudolf Steiner had much to say about the individual human being, in relation to both his or her physical and spiritual development. The philosophical foundation for Steiner’s worldview on many subjects, including the foundations for the development of the human being, is known as ‘anthroposophy’ (see Chapter 1). In this chapter we will discover how Steiner introduced many new ideas out of his anthroposophical insights. These include the human being as consisting of body, soul and spirit and the various stages of the development of the human being. What follows is an introductory outline of Steiner’s complex picture.
