ABSTRACT

This chapter is about lifelong learning. Regarded as a faddish concept in the 1990s, lifelong learning is nonetheless a valuable theme to be aware of, and in the first decade of the twenty-first century most companies and most managers are taking it seriously. Throughout this book, we have stressed the importance of knowledge and learning in terms of competitive advantage, to companies and especially to managers. Those who can learn and manage knowledge will be more likely to succeed.
