ABSTRACT
Schön says (1995: 31) that the new categories of scholarly activity ‘must take the form of action research. What else could they be? They will not consist in laboratory experimentation or statistical analysis of variance, nor will they consist only or primarily in the reflective criticism and speculation familiar to the humanities.’ They must relate to our knowing-in-action, and, in terms of this chapter, how that knowing-inaction generates power.
