ABSTRACT

PSME (Personal, Social and Moral Education) is learning and teaching each other about the moral centres of our existence, both in private terms and in public ones and, even more importantly, in the place where private and public run up against each other. It is problematic as a subject, and therefore frequently over-simplified into audits of travel skills, health skills, drug problems and the like. What follows here are strategies based on writing designed to enhance our teaching and learning in this area.
