ABSTRACT
Economics today is done as if culture did not matter. Is there a good reason for this? Does economics have reasons to reject cultural studies as either contradictory with, or as irrelevant to, its own findings? This chapter will suggest that the fundamental beliefs of economists are not inherently contradictory with those of cultural studies.
