ABSTRACT
Despite the UN General Assembly’s resolution on Gibraltar on 18 December 1968, the British Government pressed ahead with the constitutional changes agreed earlier that year and, on 30 May 1969, the new constitution for Gibraltar was published in London and in the Colony as an Order in Council with immediate effect.
