ABSTRACT
Wadia has worked in theatre, radio and televis ion. She has made guest appearances on several popular television shows, including Holby City, and the comedy sitcoms Vicar of Dibley and Kiss Me Kate. In 1997, she played Dolly Kotwal in The Sixth Happiness and she played Maggie in the 2000 television series Perfect World. Since 1998, Wadia has become best known as part of the enormously popular Goodness Gracious Me comedy team, along with Meera Syal, Kulvinder Ghir and Sanjeev Bhaskar. Perhaps her most notable character is Mrs Bedi, who can make anything at home with one small aubergine. In 1997, Wadia hosted the BBC Asian Success, Innovation and Achievement Awards.
