ABSTRACT
Jane Austen's brother used an image from Donne's Tile second Anniversary in paying tribute to his sister after her death ('Biographical Notice of the Author', prefixed to NortlJallger Abbey and Persuasioll, 1818). Austen dates the notice 13 December 1817.
