ABSTRACT
Richard Seaver (b. 1926), editor and critic, wrote several essays introducing Beckett's French work to English and American readers in the early 1950s. He also collaborated with Beckett on the translations of The Expelled, The Calmative, and The End. His anthology of Beckett's writings, ‘I Can't Go On, I'll Go On,’ appeared in 1977.
