ABSTRACT
Distinguished poet and critic, Jarrell (1914–65) was author of several books including ‘Poetry and the Age’ (1953) and ‘The Complete Poems’ (1969). ‘The Third Book of Criticism’ (1969) and ‘Kipling, Auden & Co.’ (1980) collect together Jarrell’s several articles on Auden.
