ABSTRACT

Planning and undertaking an action research project means asking questions about what we are doing, why, and how we can evaluate our practice in terms of the values we hold.

A practical guide to action research already exists in You and Your Action Research Project (McNiff et al., 1996). I therefore do not intend to go into great detail here about how to do action research. In this book I want to present some key ideas, and also examples, to show how different people have approached their action enquiries, and how they have developed different insights into the process.
