ABSTRACT
After attending a Women in Education conference, Anita, a literacy support teacher at Mt Mullin, was inspired to run a special breakfast for girls and women in the school. With the support of Zoe, the Deputy Principal, she planned the programme. Girls, women teachers, administrative staff, canteen workers, cleaners-all females were to be welcome. Disconcertingly, as Anita explains, her plan was met with some resistance.
