A: What we ought to do is to write down something about how we
felt when we decided to write the book. B: Well, why did we decide to write it? A: Because I was fed up with being told I wasn’t a proper feminist. B: Yes, and we were both pissed off because we’d been bound up in
feminist politics as they affected gay people for a long time, but we’d grown completely alienated from that because we’d come to realize that feminist politics for gay people didn’t actually mean anything.
