ABSTRACT
I have sought to make an original contribution both to existing sociological knowledge and to sexual politics by means of a research-based study of antisexist men. Such men have not previously been the subject of qualitative sociological investigation of this kind in Britain and there has been little in the United States or other English-speaking countries. Though my interviewees were all British their stories reveal themes in men’s experience which may be common to pro-feminist men elsewhere.
