ABSTRACT
This conference was initiated when a group of environmentalists met on an entirely voluntary basis to consider Scotland’s particular oil and environment experiences. It was decided that an international conference would be a timely and appropriate forum to focus on North Sea problems, particularly for Scotland and Norway. The conference would link with the European community and attract contributions from across the Atlantic.
