ABSTRACT
From initiating reactions as described in Chapter 7 follow many biological consequences. These consequences may be immediate and short-lived, take some time to develop or may last a short or long time or be permanent. Some of these possibilities have been discussed in relation to clinical effects in Chapter 4 (acute or chronic intoxication).
