ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews the history of indium’s industrial and medical uses, its exposure, disposition, mechanism of action, and excretion. A comprehensive review of the current state of knowledge regarding the general toxicology and immunotoxicology of indium and its compounds is provided. Further discussion of indium arsenide, a semiconductor material, can be found in Chapter 1.
