ABSTRACT

The spectrum of disorders that involve the kidney in patients with plasma cell dyscrasias includes asymptomatic proteinuria, nephrotic syndrome, and both acute and chronic renal insufficiency.

In addition, we have come to recognize several kidney-related syndromes (Table 13.1) in patients who have undergone hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT); a widely employed therapeutic measure in myeloma.
