ABSTRACT
It is now widely recognized that cytokines from both immune and non-immune cells play a major role in the pathologic processes not only in RA, but also in many other chronic inflammatory diseases. However, their hierarchy in the different stages of the processes is not fully established.The fine-tuning of inflammatory responses depends on the balance between agonist and antagonist activities of the participant cells and their products.
