ABSTRACT
Full plans may be accompanied by a certificate given by an approved person that certain requirements of the building regulations are satisfied (1984 Building Act section 16). A certificate may relate to;
O Part A structural stability, or;
O Parts L2 and L3 energy conservation and when a valid certificate accompanies full plans the local authority may not reject them in respect of any matter covered by the certificate.
