4.1.1One-Bedroom Flat

One-bedroom flats have become, and are likely to remain, the most common unit of accommodation in Extra Care housing. Although they are generally intended for a single occupant, they are sometimes occupied by two people: couples, friends, siblings. Single occupants may also need to put up a relative or a ‘sleep-in’ carer for a short period.
