ABSTRACT
In the Japan Hydraulics and Pneumatics Society, the first joint committee of pneumatics with the society and the companies was organized in 1979 and finished its research in 1980. After that, six committees of pneumatics have been formed and ended successively as shown in Table 1, where the names of research committees, the chairmen and the intervals of research are listed. In total, there are seven committees and four chairmen. A lot of research have been done by these seven committees. Some of the research results made by these committees are reported here according to the time of their establishment in order.
